The Capital Markets team engages with European financial institutions to request ESG data from companies. The team also promotes several engagement campaigns to drive increases in company environmental disclosure via their financial supporters, promoting datasets and tools to support Financial Institutions on their journey to and net-zero carbon and nature-positive world, as well as participating in industry events and seeking opportunities to be involved with sustainable finance initiatives. 
The role includes
  • Develop and build strong relationships with key investors and lenders and promote the benefits and use-cases of CDP data in the European financial community. 
  • Through 1:1 capacity building sessions, support existing signatories in the region to advance their sustainability strategies and assist them in the use of CDP data in their processes. 
  • Onboard new signatories with an understanding of their priorities so they can effectively maximise their use of CDP’s data. 
  • Develop compelling pitch presentations on CDP Capital Markets program and data offering. 
  • Proactively manage and cultivate relationships with existing signatories to identify opportunities where CDP’s could further be utilised. 
  • Represent CDP, including networking and presenting, at external events.  
  • Contribute to the organization and to the content of roundtables and workshops for Financial Institutions 
  • Contribute to the development of CDP’s Capital Markets program in the EU in close collaboration with the global CM team. 
  • Work with other teams in collaborative projects and activities to achieve CDP’s overall strategic plan and mission. 
The successful candidate should have
  • Knowledge, interest and passion for sustainable finance themes is required. 
  • Demonstrable work experience in the financial services industry, including the application of ESG and/or financial product analysis 
  • Additional sustainability experience is an advantage. 
  • Experience in cultivating client relationships. Comfortable liaising with contacts in senior positions at pension funds, insurance companies, banks, and asset managers and a desire to seek out networking opportunities. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) in English. French, German and/or Dutch/Flemish beneficial. 
  • Experience developing and/or facilitating training sessions across sustainability topics.  
  • A flexible but diligent working style, with proven record of working within a team. 
  • Analytical skills as well as some knowledge of data management 
  • Comfortable working with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools

Further information
The successful candidate will work five days per week and must be able to work legally in Berlin, Brussels or Sweden. When based in Berlin, this role is based 2 days per week at our office.
 
Contract is initially offered on a 2-year basis with the future possibility of being made permanent.
