Job background
CDP is seeking a highly motivated individual to support our corporate engagement work in Europe. As Account Officer - Reporter Services, you will accelerate our mission and motivate global multinationals with expertise, enthusiasm and endurance on the strategic journey to limiting climate change, improving water stewardship and forest-related practices from direct corporate business practices.
The role includes
  • Supporting Account Managers on high value and strategic accounts to learn the delivery process;
  • Owning the relationship of a selection of European Reporter Services members, and providing data analysis and strategic insights for members on how to drive sustainable practices; 
  • Developing strong knowledge on CDP topics – becoming an expert of CDP questionnaire internally and externally; 
  • Supporting the team on the preparation of Reporter Services deliverables (disclosure support, data, and capacity building);
  • Developing content for Reporter Services members and Account Managers;
  • Keeping track of member KPIs and impact goals for the team;
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks within the team and in collaboration with other CDP teams.
The successful candidate should have
  • Minimum BA/BSc degree or equivalent experience (Master’s degree preferred); 
  • 1+ years of prior work experience in the corporate sustainability space (eg. in a CSR department, an environmental consultancy, an NGO or similar); experience with working with external partners is a strong asset; 
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written – minimum C1 level), other European languages are an asset (particularly French, German, or Scandinavian languages);
  • Keen interest in corporate sustainability and related company challenges;
  • Enjoy working with people and large corporations for a good purpose, excellent communication and negotiation skills; 
  • Ability to interact convincingly with people at different levels of seniority and from different cultural backgrounds; 
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritise and work calm under pressure; 
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills; 
  • Full proficiency of Microsoft Office application (in particular Excel, Word, Power Point) and in CRM systems.

Further information
The successful candidate will work five days per week and must be able to work legally in Germany. This full-time role is based 2 days per week at our office in Berlin, Germany. Initial contract term is two years with a view to a future permanent contract.
